As the season shifts...

The egg custard nestles snugly;
'pon a bed of 'Cavello Nero'
Delicious and nutritious both.
Its Tuscan name makes it sound 'Oh so sophisticated'.
It rather more prosaically translates as 'Black Cabbage'.... 20 mins steaming much butter as you dare (lots mind, cos' it's officially good for you now, but then we always knew it was anyhoos) and get a-grinding with the pepper...chilli flakes are pretty tasty on there too...Hungry now? :-D
