And so the seed became a stem, and then these sweet fruits again.
The cycles continue..
From last year's tomatoes, saved seed, they've come out pretty true to type.
Sweet and delicious.
Now in August, this drought is very real, seems like the truth of more extreme weather is undeniable ,even to those who for years have pretended that it's all a big old fuss about nothing.
Lucky here to have trees to give shade to hide in, and a borehole for watering.
But even, despite all that, yields will be down, there's only so much water you can deliver by pipe.
I still wish all us climate doomsayers could have been wrong .No one likes being wrong, but in this case I'd love it..
And readying for the off, to take an extended break across some higher places..
If not now, then when??
I don't think it's unusual for those of us with a love of landscape, to be transported to these places when our brain does a downtime of day dreaming.. There are certain places that really stick, turns in a path, a stiff climb.
But even thoughts of this trip is affected by forest fires on the train route. And will there be enough water for camping high..??
In addition to all the other pre trip nerves / excitement...
Never really quite ready for this..
Of course..
If you do wait til you're truly 'ready' you'd most likely never dare to do anything remotely challenging, at all.
Looking forward now to a bit of trip journalling.
Highs n lows, and all the other 'fun' bits in between.😇
